We are seeking compassionate and highly skilled professionals to transfer their critical expertise into a vital Student Support Role within a local Blackpool secondary school, working with students aged 11-16 (Key Stage 3 & 4).

This is a unique opportunity to use your core strengths-Trauma-Informed Practice, De-escalation Techniques, and Complex Needs Management-to directly support vulnerable young people and help them thrive in a school environment.

We are looking for individuals who can confidently apply their residential care experience in a secondary school environment:

Essential Criteria

  • Previous professional experience as a Child Residential Care Worker, Support Worker, or Key Worker in a children's setting.

  • Proven experience working with adolescents (ideally 11-16 years old) with complex needs or challenging behaviour.

  • Demonstrable knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.

  • Exceptional communication skills and a patient, non-judgmental, and resilient approach.
