Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Stoke-on-Trent

Salary: £90- £100 per day (depending on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent, who are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team as soon as possible.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom. You will work closely with teaching staff to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis. Your role will involve helping pupils to stay engaged in their learning, assisting with lesson delivery, and encouraging positive behaviour and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing tailored support to students with additional learning or behavioural needs

  • Assisting in lesson preparation and classroom activities

  • Promoting inclusion and ensuring all pupils can access the curriculum

  • Helping to maintain a positive and productive learning environment

  • Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to raise attainment

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about supporting the learning and wellbeing of young people

  • Patient, enthusiastic, and confident in building positive relationships

  • Adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team

  • Experienced in supporting children or young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)

  • Qualified to at least Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or with relevant transferable experience
