Geography Teacher
Location: North Tyneside
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026 | Full-Time | Permanent or Long-Term

Salary: £140 - £261.79 per day (DOE)

Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working with a number of secondary schools across North Tyneside and the surrounding area, who are actively seeking a Geography Teacher to join their Humanities departments ASAP or from January 2026. We are considering applications for temporary, short-term, part-time, full-time and permanent positions.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Teaching engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with A-Level Geography opportunities in some schools)

  • Planning creative and dynamic lessons that develop student's understanding of physical, human, and environmental geography

  • Using real-world case studies, map skills, GIS, and fieldwork approaches to bring the subject to life

  • Adapting teaching to meet the needs of mixed-ability learners

  • Working collaboratively within a supportive Humanities department to share resources and best practice

  • Supporting or leading extra-curricular activities such as geography clubs, fieldwork trips, or environmental projects


About You:

  • A qualified Geography teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) specialising in Geography or Humanities

  • Confident teaching the national curriculum for Geography and preparing students for GCSE exams (and potentially A-Levels)

  • Passionate about making Geography relevant, engaging, and accessible for all learners

  • Committed to supporting students in developing strong locational knowledge, enquiry skills, and global awareness

  • A positive team player who contributes to department and whole-school life

  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly encouraged to apply - full support will be provided throughout your induction.
