School Administrator - Newcastle upon Tyne

Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Immediate Start Available

We are seeking an organised, proactive and confident School Administrator to work as part of an office team in Newcastle upon Tyne in Primary, Secondary and SEN Schools.

This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the first point of contact for parents, students, visitors and staff

  • Managing incoming calls, emails and visitor enquiries

  • Maintaining accurate pupil records and supporting data management processes

  • Updating attendance registers and supporting attendance monitoring

  • Handling general office tasks including filing, photocopying, and preparing documents

  • Supporting safeguarding procedures through accurate record keeping

  • Assisting with school communications including letters, emails and newsletters

  • Providing administrative support to senior leaders, teaching staff and school departments

  • Supporting with events, meetings, and exam administration as required

Systems You Will Use

Experience with school MIS systems is highly desirable. Training can be provided, but familiarity with the following platforms will be an advantage:

  • SIMS

  • Arbor

  • Bromcom

  • ScholarPack

  • CMIS

  • ParentMail

  • SchoolComms

  • CPOMS

  • Edulink

  • MIS platforms (general)

Requirements

  • Previous school office or administrative experience (preferred)

  • Knowledge of MIS systems (preferred but not essential)

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one

  • Ability to work term-time hours - typically between 08:00 - 16:00
