  • Role: Specialist Secondary Tutor (English, Maths, and Science focus).

  • Location: Secondary Schools and Colleges across the Newcastle upon Tyne area.

  • Flexability: Full or part time options available - dictate your own hours and working schedule

  • Type of Work: Predominantly 1:1 tuition, with regular opportunities to work with small groups (usually 2-5 students).

  • Impact: You will be instrumental in closing attainment gaps and raising student confidence, working with diverse learners on personalised intervention programs.

🎯 Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging, and differentiated tuition in English, Maths, and Science at various secondary key stages.

  • Assess students' learning needs and track progress effectively, providing constructive feedback.

  • Maintain open communication with school staff and our agency regarding student development.

  • Adapt teaching methods to suit individual student learning styles and needs.

✅ What We're Looking For:

  • Essential: Proven experience tutoring or teaching secondary-level English, Maths, and Science.

  • Highly Desirable: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant degree in a core subject area, though experienced non-QTS specialists will be considered.

  • Skills: Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Traits: Patience, adaptability, reliability, and a genuine passion for student success.

  • Compliance: Must hold an Enhanced DBS check (or be willing to apply for one) and provide excellent professional references.
