SEN Teaching Assistant - Corby

Location: Corby & surrounding Northamptonshire areas
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in one of our partner schools in Corby. This is a rewarding role ideal for individuals passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
The Role
Providing 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
Assisting the class teacher with planning, adapting resources, and implementing support strategies
Supporting students with emotional regulation, social skills and positive behaviour
Helping to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals

Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to remain calm, patient and consistent
A genuine passion for working with children with additional needs
Reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience in an SEN, care, youth work or support role
Training in Team Teach, Autism Awareness, or related SEN areas
Interest in progressing into roles such as HLTA, behaviour mentor, or future teacher training
