We're recruiting an SEN Teacher to join a supportive specialist school in Runcorn from January. This is a great opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about helping pupils with additional needs progress socially, emotionally and academically.

The role:

  • Teaching small classes of pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, communication difficulties, learning needs and SEMH

  • Planning and delivering accessible, engaging lessons that build confidence and key skills

  • Adapting work to suit individual EHCP targets and different learning levels

  • Creating a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment

  • Working closely with TAs, therapists and the wider SEN team to support each pupil holistically

  • Using clear routines, positive reinforcement and supportive behaviour strategies

What we're looking for:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Experience working in an SEN setting or supporting pupils with additional needs

  • Strong differentiation skills and the ability to personalise learning

  • A calm, patient and compassionate approach

  • Confidence building relationships with pupils who need consistency and emotional support
