Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting a full-time Teacher to work within a specialist SEN setting for post-16 learners in the South Sheffield (S20) area.

This role involves supporting young people with a range of learning barriers, focusing primarily on life skills, independence, and preparing learners for adulthood and the world of work. You will be working as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team in a large, modern educational setting that is easily accessible by public transport.

The Role:

  • Teaching post-16 learners with a variety of SEN needs

  • Delivering engaging lessons focused on life skills, employability, and independence

  • Supporting learners' personal, social, and emotional development

  • Working collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders

  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)

  • Experience working with SEN learners (post-16 experience desirable but not essential)

  • A nurturing, patient, and flexible approach

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • A passion for supporting young people to achieve independence and confidence

Contract Details:

  • Permanent position

  • Initially pay rolled through Tradewind Recruitment, before transferring onto a direct contract with the school
