Primary Teaching Assistant, Wigan

Tradewind are recruiting for a Wigan Primary school!

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to join a 2-form entry school in Wigan.

The role is to start in January and will run until July. The successful candidate will be working 5 days a week, 8.30am-3.30pm. The daily pay rate for this role is £90-£99.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting teachers in the classroom, helping to create a positive learning environment for students. You will be working with children of all ages and abilities, providing support and guidance to help them reach their full potential. You will also be responsible for preparing materials, assisting with lesson planning, and helping to maintain a safe and orderly classroom.

The school are looking for a teaching assistant to work across both KS1 and KS2.

Description:

  • Have excellent communication and behaviour management techniques
  • Be confident in dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Passion to ensure every child succeeds and reaches their full potential
  • An awareness of their own strengths and areas for development and a willingness to listen to, reflect constructively and ac upon, as appropriate, feedback from others.
  • Be able to confidently work as part of the team and independently.

Essentials:

  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Level 2 teaching assistant qualification.
