Job Description

We're recruiting for a Maths Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Skelmersdale from January. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach in a supportive environment where class sizes are smaller and lessons can be tailored to suit individual needs.

The role:

  • Teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4 learners with a range of additional needs

  • Planning accessible, engaging lessons that build confidence and core skills

  • Supporting students with EHCPs and adapting work to different ability levels

  • Working closely with the SENCO and wider pastoral team

  • Creating a calm, structured and positive learning environment

What we're looking for:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Experience teaching Maths - SEN experience is an advantage but not essential

  • Ability to differentiate lessons and support students with complex needs

  • Patience, resilience and a nurturing approach to behaviour
