Job Description
We are seeking a caring, committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the Corby area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils with special educational needs to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH or learning difficulties)
Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
Promote a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
Assist with behaviour management and classroom activities
Support pupils with personal care where required (training provided if needed)
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
A patient, empathetic and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Relevant qualifications or training in education or SEN are desirable
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
