Tradewind Recruitment is working with a variety of schools across Northampton to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.

These roles are ideal for caring, adaptable individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people to achieve their full potential in education.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with varying SEN needs

  • Support children with needs including learning difficulties, ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and physical disabilities

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering inclusive and differentiated learning

  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, engagement, and behaviour

  • Help create a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or transferable experience welcomed)

  • Patient, flexible, and empathetic approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to adapt to different school settings and pupil needs

  • Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential
