Mental Health Practitioner - Corby
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire

Contract: Full-Time | Temporary to Permanent

We are working in partnership with all-through schools in Corby who are seeking a committed Mental Health Practitioner to join their teams from January 2026. This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent role, offering long-term stability within a supportive educational setting.
About the Role:
Deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions for students experiencing emotional and mental health challenges, including anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation difficulties, and confidence issues
Complete assessments and contribute to individual support plans in collaboration with SENCOs, pastoral staff, and families
Support a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing, including wellbeing initiatives and student drop-in sessions
Work closely with teaching staff and external agencies to ensure joined-up, child-centred support
Promote resilience, emotional literacy, and positive coping strategies through structured sessions
Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and confidentiality policies
We're Looking For:
A qualified or experienced Mental Health Practitioner, Counsellor, Youth Worker, Mental Health Nurse, or Social Worker
Experience supporting children or young people in education, healthcare, or community-based settings
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships
A calm, empathetic, and non-judgemental approach
A good understanding of safeguarding practices and child mental health
Additional training in areas such as CBT, trauma-informed practice, or emotional regulation is desirable
