Teacher of Mathematics

Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Contract: Full-time / Part-time considered
Start Date: ASAP

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in the Wellingborough area. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring classroom practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality maths education and raising student achievement.

You will teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for a suitably experienced candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress to inform teaching and intervention

  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners of all abilities

  • Maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment

  • Contribute to the development of the Maths department

  • Support pupils' academic progress and confidence in mathematics

  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and expectations

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it

  • Has a strong subject knowledge and passion for Mathematics

  • Is committed to raising attainment and fostering a love of learning

  • Demonstrates effective classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to school life

  • ECTs are welcome to apply, as well as experienced teachers
