Job Title: Teacher of Social Sciences

Location: Wellingborough / Rushden, Northamptonshire

Contract: Full-time

Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner by agreement)

We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Social Sciences to join a thriving and supportive secondary school in the Wellingborough/Rushden area. This is a full-time role suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across one or more Social Science subjects, which may include Sociology, Psychology, and/or Criminology, at Key Stages 4 and 5 (subject to experience).

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS (or be working towards it)

  • Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for Social Sciences

  • Deliver engaging, inclusive, and well-structured lessons

  • Demonstrate high expectations for student achievement and behaviour

  • Be committed to professional development and collaborative working

  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
