Pastoral & Behaviour Support Staff
Location: Blackpool (Secondary & AP settings)
Contract: Full-time, Long-term & Flexible Supply options

Are you someone who can stay calm in a storm? Do you have the "presence" to command a room and the empathy to support a child in crisis?
Tradewind Recruitment is looking for dedicated Pastoral & Behaviour Support Staff to work across schools in Blackpool. In these roles, you aren't just helping with lessons; you are managing the emotional and social well-being of students. You will be the person who steps in when things get tough, helping students regulate their behaviour so they can get back to learning.
Key Responsibilities
On-Call Support: Responding to "behaviour calls" across the school, supporting teachers by removing barriers to learning.
Inclusion & Reset: Working in "Inclusion Hubs" or "Reflective Spaces" to help students understand the impact of their actions.
De-escalation: Using trauma-informed techniques to calm high-stress situations before they escalate.
Mentoring: Holding 1:1 "check-ins" with students who are struggling with attendance, social anxiety, or external life challenges.
Safeguarding: Acting as a trusted adult and ensuring all concerns are reported through the correct school channels.
Who We Are Looking For
We aren't just looking for school experience. We want people who understand the Blackpool community and have experience in:
Youth Offending or Police/Military backgrounds.
Residential Care or Social Work.
Youth Work & Community Outreach.
Sports Coaching or Mentoring.
Ex-Education staff looking for a role without the planning and marking.
