Year 1 Class Teacher (Part-Time)

Location: Blackpool, FY4

Working Pattern: Thursday & Friday (08:30 - 16:00)

Contract Type: Term Time Only (ASAP Start - Easter minimum)

Salary: Negotiable (Based on experience) will be paid daily rate.

The Role:

This is an ideal opportunity for a teacher seeking the flexibility of part-time hours while still looking to find genuine enjoyment and fulfilment in teaching.

To support you in this role, core planning will be provided, although some professional contribution to lessons may be required at times to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons to a Year 1 class every Thursday and Friday.

  • Prioritise the mastery of basic skills, ensuring every child builds a strong foundation.

  • Implement the Read Write Inc. Phonics scheme with confidence.

  • Foster a nurturing, tolerant, and respectful classroom atmosphere.

  • Make full use of our state-of-the-art technology and modernised learning environments.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualifications: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • ECT are welcome to apply.
  • Experience: Prior teaching experience specifically within Key Stage 1 (KS1).

  • Curriculum Knowledge: A strong understanding of the Read Write Inc. Phonics program.

  • Ability to provide some aid to lesson content.
