Level 3 Teaching Assistant - Early Years

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support Early Years pupils in a nurturing and engaging environment. The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education and have strong experience managing challenging behaviour in young children.

You will play a key role in supporting high-quality learning experiences while working closely with both staff and families to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Nursery Manager in delivering high-quality learning experiences for Early Years pupils between 07:30-17:30

  • Develop and implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive behaviour

  • Work closely with parents and carers to ensure consistent support at home and in school

  • Support the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track pupil progress

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Education / Nursery Assistant

  • Significant experience managing behaviour in young children

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A strong commitment to supporting all pupils, including those with special educational needs

  • Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework
