Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Enfield, North London
Start Date: February 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Pay Rate: £90-£125 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)

SEND Teaching Assistant - Specialist Resource Provision (SRP)

Tradewind Recruitment are pleased to be seeking committed and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to join a well-equipped Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) based within a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Enfield, from February 2026.

The SRP supports pupils with a range of cognitive learning needs, offering structured routines, personalised interventions, and small-group teaching within a calm and nurturing setting. This opportunity is well suited to caring, proactive individuals who are passionate about supporting children's academic progress alongside their social and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with cognitive learning needs

  • Assist with differentiated lessons and individual learning programmes

  • Promote independence, confidence, and positive social interaction

  • Collaborate closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and wider school staff to implement targeted interventions

  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school, SRP, or similar setting

  • A patient, enthusiastic, and proactive approach

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Knowledge of learning difficulties, autism, and/or speech and language needs

  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
