Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Enfield, North London
Start Date: February 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Pay Rate: £90-£125 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)
SEND Teaching Assistant - Specialist Resource Provision (SRP)
Tradewind Recruitment are pleased to be seeking committed and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to join a well-equipped Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) based within a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Enfield, from February 2026.
The SRP supports pupils with a range of cognitive learning needs, offering structured routines, personalised interventions, and small-group teaching within a calm and nurturing setting. This opportunity is well suited to caring, proactive individuals who are passionate about supporting children's academic progress alongside their social and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with cognitive learning needs
Assist with differentiated lessons and individual learning programmes
Promote independence, confidence, and positive social interaction
Collaborate closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and wider school staff to implement targeted interventions
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Person Specification:
Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school, SRP, or similar setting
A patient, enthusiastic, and proactive approach
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Knowledge of learning difficulties, autism, and/or speech and language needs
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
