Job Description

Year 1 Class Teacher - Full Time
Start Date: February
Salary: MPS 1-6 (dependent on experience)

A highly reputable, single-form entry primary school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Year 1 Class Teacher to join the team on a full-time basis from February. This role is open to ECTs and experienced teachers, with salary offered on the Main Pay Scale (MPS 1-6), dependent on experience.

The school is well regarded within the local community and is led by an experienced and supportive Headteacher. As a single-form entry school, it offers a strong sense of community and a collaborative working environment where staff are encouraged to support one another and thrive professionally.

The school has a Catholic ethos, underpinned by the values of respect, trust, tolerance, resilience, and kindness, which are central to daily school life and inform relationships across the community.

The school has an average SEND profile and is well staffed, with 1:1 teaching assistants provided where appropriate. It benefits from excellent resources and facilities, enabling consistently high standards of teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will be responsible for full class teacher duties, including planning, assessment, and monitoring pupil progress. Teachers are supported by established schemes of work that provide clear guidance, alongside opportunities for individuality and creative teaching.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking school with a strong commitment to both pupil outcomes and staff wellbeing.
