Casual Cover Supervisor - Wellingborough

Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Pay: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a number of secondary schools in the Wellingborough area who are seeking reliable and confident Casual Cover Supervisors to provide short-term classroom cover on a flexible, day-to-day basis.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school support staff looking for flexible work in education.

The role:

  • Supervising classes during teacher absence using pre-set lesson plans

  • Ensuring students remain on task and follow school behaviour policies

  • Managing classroom behaviour in a calm and professional manner

  • Taking responsibility for student safety and wellbeing during lessons

  • Reporting back to teaching staff on student engagement and behaviour

  • Supporting the smooth running of the school day

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable)

  • Is confident leading a classroom and managing behaviour

  • Has strong communication and organisational skills

  • Is reliable, adaptable, and professional

  • Is committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing

  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
