SEN Teaching Assistant - Wellingborough

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a friendly and inclusive school in the Wellingborough area that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their support team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about helping children with additional needs thrive both academically and emotionally.
The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. Support may be on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, depending on individual pupil requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils with SEN to access learning and achieve positive outcomes
Providing one-to-one and small group support
Assisting the class teacher with differentiated activities
Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (education, care, or support settings)
A patient, caring, and flexible approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for inclusive education
Relevant SEN training or qualifications are desirable but not essential
