Behaviour Mentor - Wellingborough
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

Hours: Full-time or Part-time (term time only)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a supportive school in the Wellingborough area that is seeking a committed Behaviour Mentor to join their pastoral support team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping young people develop positive behaviour, confidence, and emotional resilience.
The Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils who display challenging behaviour or require additional emotional and behavioural support. You will provide targeted interventions on a one-to-one or small group basis, helping students to re-engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
Delivering behaviour interventions and mentoring sessions
Building strong, positive relationships with students
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
Supporting classroom staff with behaviour management techniques
Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or SEMH needs
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage challenging behaviour positively and consistently
Backgrounds in education, youth work, mentoring, or care are highly valued
