Mental Health Teaching Assistant - SEMH School (Corby)

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a compassionate and proactive Mental Health Teaching Assistant to support students in a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Corby.
This is a rewarding role for someone who understands mental health and wants to make a real difference in the lives of young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils with SEMH needs 1:1 and in small groups
Assisting students with emotional regulation, anxiety management, and behavioural challenges
Working alongside teachers, SEN teams, and external professionals to create a supportive learning environment
Promoting positive behaviour, resilience, and engagement in learning
About You:
Strong understanding of mental health and emotional wellbeing
Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural needs (school, care, youth work, or mental health settings all welcomed)
Calm, patient, and resilient, with the ability to build trusting relationships
Confident managing challenging behaviour in a structured and supportive way
Passionate about helping young people reach their potential
