SEN Teacher - Long-Term Opportunities
Multiple Roles Available Across Northampton
Recruitment Partner: Tradewind Recruitment

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking passionate and committed SEN Teachers for multiple long-term opportunities across Northampton. We are working in partnership with a number of SEN schools and Alternative Provisions (APs) that are looking for skilled educators to support students with additional needs on a longer-term basis.

These roles provide an excellent opportunity for teachers who are dedicated to inclusive education and who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that support students with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), speech and language difficulties, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. You will work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and wider support teams to create a supportive learning environment where every student can progress at their own pace.

Many of the settings we work with place strong emphasis on personalised learning, structured support, and positive behaviour strategies, allowing teachers to focus on helping students build confidence, independence, and key life skills alongside academic development.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Planning and delivering adapted and engaging lessons to meet diverse learning needs

  • Creating a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment

  • Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff to provide targeted support

  • Monitoring student progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly

  • Supporting students with social development, communication, and emotional regulation

We are looking for teachers who:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Have experience teaching students with SEN, or a strong interest in working within specialist settings

  • Are patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education

  • Have strong classroom management and communication skills

Working with Tradewind Recruitment means you will receive support from a dedicated consultant who understands the SEN sector, as well as access to a range of long-term opportunities across schools in Northampton.

If you are an enthusiastic teacher looking to develop your career in special education and want to secure a rewarding long-term role supporting students with additional needs, we would love to hear from you.
