Job Description

EYFS Teacher | Blackburn, Lancashire

Are you a passionate educator who believes that the first years of a child's education are the most transformative? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher to join a vibrant primary school community in Blackburn.

This is a full-time position starting ASAP. Whether you are an experienced practitioner or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a strong placement record, we want to hear from you.

The Role

As our EYFS Teacher, you won't just be "teaching"-you'll be sparking curiosity and building the foundations for lifelong learning. You will be responsible for:

  • Creating a Stimulating Environment: Designing indoor and outdoor learning spaces that encourage child-led exploration.

  • Delivering the Curriculum: Planning and implementing engaging lessons across the seven areas of learning.

  • Assessment & Tracking: Using observations to monitor progress and tailoring your approach to meet the diverse needs of every child.

  • Building Partnerships: Maintaining strong, positive relationships with parents and carers to support the "whole child" transition into school life.

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential.

  • EYFS Expertise: A deep understanding of the EYFS Statutory Framework and Development Matters.

  • Energy & Creativity: Someone who can turn a cardboard box into a spaceship and a puddle into a science experiment.

  • Resilience: The ability to stay calm, patient, and positive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Local Commitment: Someone ready to contribute to the Blackburn community and work collaboratively with a supportive staff team.

Why Join Us?

  • Immediate Start: Skip the long notice period and get back into the classroom right away.

  • Professional Development: Access to ongoing CPD and mentorship.

  • Supportive Culture: Work in a school that values staff wellbeing and work-life balance.

  • Competitive Salary: Paid to scale (M1 - M6 / UPS).
