About the Role:

  • Teach inspiring and interactive English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 optional depending on experience)
  • Develop creative lesson plans that engage students in reading, writing, and critical thinking
  • Support learners of all abilities, including those with SEND or EAL needs, through differentiated teaching
  • Encourage discussion, debate, and creative exploration through literature and drama
  • Track, assess, and provide feedback to ensure every student can reach their full potential
  • Contribute to department initiatives, literacy projects, and extracurricular activities such as school productions or writing clubs

Who We're Looking For:

  • Qualified English teachers (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) with strong knowledge of Language and Literature
  • Teachers who can make English enjoyable, relevant, and engaging for all students
  • Confident classroom managers who maintain high expectations and positive learning environments
  • Collaborative professionals with a reflective approach to teaching and a willingness to contribute to team success
  • ECTs are welcome - full induction and mentoring will be provided
