April 2026: The Summer Term Teaching Rush - Primary Supply Roles
Secure Your Foot in the Door for September 2026 Permanent Posts
Location: Preston (Primary Schools)
Start Date: April 2026
Daily Rate: £130 - £260 (Experience Dependent)
Are you looking for a career reset or a strategic move toward a new permanent role in September 2026?
The summer term is the busiest period in the academic calendar for long-term teaching requests. Schools across Preston are hitting peak demand, making this the ideal time to join the supply pool. By starting in April, you position yourself as a known, trusted face just as the May resignation deadline approaches-giving you the inside track for permanent vacancies starting in the new academic year.
Why April is the Strategic Choice for Your Career:
- Maximum Work Volume: April is one of our busiest periods; we can offer consistent, local work that fits your schedule.
- The "September Strategy": Most permanent September vacancies are triggered by May resignations. Getting into schools now means you are first in line when those roles open up.
- Trial Before You Commit: Use the flexibility of supply to "test drive" different schools across Preston before committing to a long-term contract.
- Work-Life Balance: Enjoy flexible working without the unpaid overtime of a full-time post.
