SEN Teaching Assistant - Preston
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for work in Preston?
Tradewind are recruiting for a one-form entry Primary School in Preston who are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work full-time, 8:30am-3:30pm Monday to Friday, with daily pay rates of £93-£105. This role is 32.5 hours per week, starting ASAP and continuing for the rest of the academic year.
This school is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their supportive EYFS team. There is a strong sense of togetherness and unity across the school. The role involves working 1:1 with a child in Early Years. You will support a child with Autism (ASD), who benefits from a calm and consistent approach, including the use of visual timetables, now-and-next strategies, sensory breaks, and pictorial cues. The child has an EHCP, which is implemented alongside guidance from a speech and language specialist.
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) or higher
- Experience of working with SEND
- Experience of the National Curriculum
- Knowledge of intervention strategies
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history where possible
- Legal right to work in the UK
