Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient Support Worker to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) educational setting in Corby, starting ASAP.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people who require additional emotional, social and behavioural support to engage positively in education and achieve their potential.

The Role:

As a Support Worker within this SEMH setting, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with students
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and social development
  • Work alongside teaching and pastoral staff to create a safe, nurturing learning environment
  • Implement behaviour support strategies and use de-escalation techniques where needed
  • Encourage confidence, independence and positive engagement in learning
  • Act as a positive role model and provide consistent pastoral support throughout the school day

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:

  • Experience supporting children or young people in education, care, youth work or similar settings
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
  • Resilience, empathy and the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Experience with SEMH, SEND, trauma-informed practice or behaviour support is desirable
  • Relevant qualifications are welcomed but not essential
