Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a committed and compassionate Support Worker to work in a specialist SEMH school in Corby, supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and succeed in a supportive educational environment.

The Role:

As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting students both academically and emotionally by:

  • Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Building strong relationships to help students feel safe, supported and engaged
  • Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams to support learning and wellbeing
  • Assisting with behaviour management and promoting positive outcomes
  • Encouraging confidence, resilience and independence in students
  • Creating a calm, consistent and nurturing environment for learners

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people in education, care or support settings
  • A strong interest in supporting pupils with SEMH needs
  • Patience, empathy and a proactive approach
  • Confidence in managing challenging behaviour positively
  • Experience in youth work, mentoring, residential care or similar roles is desirable
  • A background in education or support work would be advantageous, but not essential
