Specialist SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Wellingborough

We are currently recruiting for a skilled and dedicated Specialist SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work on a supply basis across schools in Wellingborough. This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual with a strong passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with autism and associated needs.

In this role, you will provide targeted, pupil-focused support to enable learners to fully access the curriculum. You will demonstrate confidence in delivering differentiated learning, adapting tasks and resources to meet a wide range of abilities and learning styles. Working closely with teachers and SENCOs, you will help implement EHCP targets and contribute to a structured, inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.

A solid understanding of autism spectrum conditions is essential. You will be confident in supporting students with communication differences, sensory processing needs, and social interaction challenges. The ability to use visual supports, structured routines, and consistent approaches will be key in promoting engagement, independence, and emotional regulation.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an SEN or educational setting and will bring a calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting behaviour and learning. You should be comfortable working on a one-to-one basis or with small groups, while also being an effective team player within the wider school environment.
