Early Years Teaching Assistant - Full Time (Maternity Cover) - Sheffield
A friendly and well-organised Infant School in Sheffield is looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant to support within their nursery provision. This role is to cover maternity leave and is available for an immediate start for the remainder of the summer term.
This is a smaller school with a strong sense of community, where staff work closely together to provide a positive and engaging environment for young learners. The team are supportive, approachable, and committed to ensuring every child receives the best possible start to their education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the day-to-day running of a busy nursery classroom
- Working alongside the class teacher to deliver fun and engaging early years activities
- Encouraging children's development through play-based learning
- Promoting a safe, caring, and inclusive setting
- Assisting with observations and contributing to children's progress
Requirements:
- A recognised Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification
- Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years environment
- A positive, nurturing attitude and a genuine interest in early childhood development
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
