Food Technician (Full-Time, 5 Days per Week)
Location: Lewisham, South East London

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Technician to join a thriving secondary school in Lewisham. This is a full-time position, working five days per week, ideal for a candidate with strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for supporting high-quality food education.

The Role
As a Food Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of engaging and practical food lessons. You will work closely with teaching staff to prepare ingredients, maintain equipment, and ensure a safe and organised learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing ingredients and resources for practical food lessons
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen/classroom environment
• Supporting teachers during practical sessions
• Managing stock levels and ordering supplies as required
• Ensuring all health and safety standards are consistently met

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Food Technician or in a similar role within an educational setting
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, and kitchen safety
• A relevant degree is preferred
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• A proactive and flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning
