Graduate Trainee Teacher - SCITT Programme

Contract: Full-time, Teacher Training Placement

Tradewind Recruitment is working with secondary schools in Kettering to recruit ambitious graduates for a School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while training towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in a supportive school environment.

The Role

As a Graduate Trainee Teacher, you will:

  • Train within a secondary school alongside experienced teaching professionals
  • Develop practical classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Receive dedicated mentoring and professional development support
  • Work towards achieving QTS through a recognised SCITT pathway
  • Support pupils in lessons while gradually building teaching responsibilities

We Are Looking For Graduates Who:

  • Hold a UK degree (2:2 or above preferred)
  • Are passionate about education and working with young people
  • Have strong communication and organisational skills
  • Are motivated, resilient, and eager to learn
  • Have experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
