We are working with several supportive and inclusive secondary schools across Kettering who are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to start in May 2026 or September 2026. These are temp-to-perm opportunities, offering a clear pathway into a permanent school-based role for the right candidates.

The Role

  • Supporting teachers across KS3 and KS4 to help students stay engaged and on track with their learning
  • Working 1:1 and in small groups with students, including those with SEND or additional needs
  • Assisting with classroom management and promoting positive behaviour for learning
  • Helping students build confidence, independence, and resilience in their studies
  • Supporting wider pastoral and intervention programmes within the school
  • Contributing to a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Is patient, supportive, and able to build positive relationships with students
  • Communicates well and works effectively as part of a team
  • Is reliable, proactive, and flexible in a busy school environment
  • Can remain calm and consistent when supporting students with varied needs
  • Has experience working with young people (education, childcare, coaching, youth work, care or similar backgrounds are beneficial but not essential)
