SEN Teaching Assistant - Alternative Provision
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an alternative provision in the Kettering area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with complex needs who require additional emotional, behavioural, and educational support. The provision offers a structured and nurturing environment for students who may find mainstream education challenging.
The successful candidate will be patient, resilient, and passionate about helping young people achieve their full potential both academically and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings
Encouraging engagement in learning and classroom activities
Building positive and trusting relationships with students
Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management
Promoting a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience supporting children or young people with complex needs
Be calm, adaptable, and empathetic
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
Be passionate about supporting vulnerable students
Have previous experience within education, care, youth work, counselling, or support work
Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
