Are you a creative and organised individual with a passion for supporting art education? Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Art Technician to work in a welcoming secondary school in the Wellingborough area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an interest in art, design, or creative subjects who enjoys working in a school environment and supporting students and teachers behind the scenes.

The Role

As an Art Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the Art Department by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring classrooms are organised and ready for practical lessons.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and setting up materials and equipment for art lessons
• Supporting teachers during practical sessions
• Maintaining a safe, tidy, and inspiring learning environment
• Managing stock levels and ordering supplies when required
• Displaying student artwork around the department and school
• Cleaning and maintaining art equipment, tools, and resources

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a creative background or strong interest in art and design
• Is organised, proactive, and reliable
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Has excellent communication skills
• Previous school experience is desirable but not essential
