A forward-thinking secondary school in Corby is seeking to appoint a dedicated Engineering & Maths Teacher to join its supportive Design & Technology and Mathematics provision. This is an exciting opportunity to work across two closely connected subject areas, helping students see the link between mathematical theory and practical engineering applications.

The Role

• Deliver engaging Maths and Engineering lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teach mathematical concepts with clear links to engineering, design, and real-world applications
• Support students in developing problem-solving, numeracy, and analytical thinking skills
• Plan and deliver practical and theory-based lessons that are accessible and challenging for all learners
• Differentiate effectively to support a wide range of abilities and ensure strong progress
• Work collaboratively across Maths and Engineering/DT departments to enhance curriculum delivery
• Contribute to STEM enrichment, projects, and cross-curricular initiatives within the school

The Ideal Candidate

• A qualified Teacher with experience in Maths, Engineering, or a related subject (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and/or Engineering principles
• Ability to make Maths engaging and relevant through practical, real-world applications
• Confident delivering both theoretical and applied learning
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• A collaborative and flexible approach to working across departments
• ECTs are welcome to apply and will be fully supported with structured induction and mentoring
