Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Wellingborough from September 2026.

The school is ideally looking for a permanent appointment, although they are open to fixed-term and long-term supply arrangements for the right candidate.

The Role
- Teach English Language and English Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Deliver purposeful and engaging lessons that support both progress and enjoyment
- Build students' confidence in reading comprehension, writing structure, and analysis
- Use assessment effectively to inform planning and improve outcomes
- Adapt teaching to support mixed-ability groups and individual learning needs
- Play an active role in departmental planning and curriculum delivery
- Support whole-school literacy development and enrichment opportunities
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
- Has a secure understanding of English Language and Literature
- Can engage students through clear, structured, and enthusiastic teaching
- Maintains strong behaviour management and classroom routines
- Has a reflective approach and a commitment to ongoing improvement
- Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to school life
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly encouraged to apply and will be fully supported.
