Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time | Permanent Preferred | Long-Term Supply or Fixed-Term Considered
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Are you an energetic and committed PE Teacher who is passionate about inspiring young people through sport and physical activity?

We are working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Wellingborough that is looking to appoint a PE Teacher from September 2026. The school would ideally appoint on a permanent basis; however, long-term supply or fixed-term contract arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated PE department where you can make a real impact both in lessons and through wider school sport.

The Role

  • Teach PE across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential KS5 teaching depending on experience

  • Deliver engaging practical and theoretical PE lessons that promote participation and progress

  • Encourage students to develop skills in a variety of sports and physical activities

  • Promote teamwork, resilience, leadership, and positive sporting attitudes

  • Support and lead extracurricular sport, including clubs, fixtures, and school teams

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and development within the PE department

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and participation in all lessons

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent

  • Strong knowledge of Physical Education and a passion for sport

  • Ability to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons for all abilities

  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Enthusiastic approach to extracurricular sport and school life

  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to student development

Both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply, with full support available.
