Teaching Assistant - Early Years (Nursery/Reception)
Location: Havering (Hornchurch)
Start Date: September 2026

SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a highly regarded primary school in Havering (Hornchurch) that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their early years (nursery/reception).
This rewarding role will involve a combination of one-to-one support for pupils with Autism and general classroom assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children's learning through play-based and structured activities
- Assisting with the development of early literacy, phonics, and numeracy skills
- Helping to maintain a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils
- Assisting with observations and tracking pupil progress
- Promoting children's confidence, independence, and overall wellbeing
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Ideally hold a CACHE Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent (such as a qualified Nursery Nurse or Early Years Practitioner)
- Have previous experience working within an Early Years setting, such as Nursery or Reception
- Have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly Autism
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
- Work effectively as part of a team while building positive relationships with children and staff
