Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Corby that is seeking a dedicated EYFS / KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

The Role

As an EYFS / KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils across the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 within the classroom environment
• Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging, creative, and age-appropriate learning activities
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to help children achieve their learning objectives
• Promote children's social, emotional, and academic development
• Assist in creating a positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
• Support children's phonics, literacy, numeracy, and communication skills development
• Encourage positive behaviour and independence both inside and outside the classroom
• Contribute to the wider school community and uphold the school's values and ethos

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Has previous experience working with children within EYFS, KS1, or a similar educational setting
• Is enthusiastic, patient, caring, and passionate about supporting children's learning
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates good literacy and numeracy skills
• Is able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
• Is adaptable, proactive, and able to respond to the varying needs of young learners
• Has a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
