Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in the Wellingborough area, seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their successful English department from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs who are passionate about inspiring a love of literature and language while helping students achieve their full academic potential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced applicants. The school is committed to providing a supportive environment where staff are encouraged to develop professionally and contribute to wider school life.
The Role
Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students.
Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and achievement.
Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
Support the wider life of the school through pastoral responsibilities and enrichment activities.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in English or a related subject.
Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
A commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes for all students.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A genuine passion for English and education.
