Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting enthusiastic and motivated graduates to work within Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools and provisions across Northamptonshire as Unqualified Teachers and Teaching Assistants.

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, social work, youth work, or other child-focused professions. You will gain valuable hands-on experience supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs while developing the skills and confidence required for a successful career in education.

The schools we work with support students with a variety of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), communication difficulties, and complex learning needs.

No formal teaching qualification is required; however, applicants should have a genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Assisting teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons and activities.
  • Encouraging student participation, independence, and confidence.
  • Supporting students with their social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Helping to create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support strategies.
  • Delivering pre-planned learning activities where appropriate.

We Are Looking For Graduates Who:

  • Hold a degree in any subject area.
  • Have a passion for working with children and young people.
  • Are patient, resilient, and adaptable.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Are interested in pursuing a long-term career within education or related fields.
  • Have experience working with young people through volunteering, coaching, mentoring, care work, tutoring, or similar roles (desirable but not essential).
