Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established Further Education setting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people and adults within a Further Education environment, helping learners to develop academically, socially and personally as they work towards achieving their qualifications and preparing for adulthood and employment.

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with lecturers and support staff to provide tailored assistance to students both in and out of the classroom. You will support learners with a variety of additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop independence and build confidence in their abilities. The role may involve providing one-to-one support, working with small groups, adapting learning activities, promoting positive behaviour and assisting with personal development and employability skills where appropriate.

The successful candidate will be patient, compassionate and committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where every student is encouraged to reach their full potential. Experience supporting learners with additional needs, including learning difficulties, autism, ADHD or social, emotional and mental health needs, would be highly advantageous.

To be considered, you will have:

• A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience supporting learners within an education or training environment, ideally within Further Education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, flexible and proactive approach to supporting learners.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• A genuine passion for helping young people and adults succeed.
