A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Milton Keynes is seeking a proactive and dedicated Pastoral Inclusion Manager to join their Behaviour and Pastoral Team from September 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who enjoys working closely with young people and is committed to promoting positive behaviour, inclusion, and student wellbeing.
As a key member of the school's pastoral team, you will support students who require additional guidance to engage positively with school life, helping them develop the skills, resilience, and understanding needed to thrive both academically and personally.
Your Role Will Include:
Working with individual students and small groups to deliver personalised support and intervention programmes
Supporting pupils to understand behavioural expectations and develop positive attitudes towards learning
Building strong, trusting relationships with students who may be experiencing social, emotional, or behavioural challenges
Contributing to the development and implementation of behaviour support systems across the school
Monitoring student progress, attendance, behaviour, and engagement with learning
Liaising with teachers, pastoral leaders, SEND staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure students receive appropriate support
Acting as a positive role model and helping students make informed choices that support their educational journey
Supporting communication of behaviour and inclusion initiatives to both students and staff
We're Looking For Someone Who:
✔ Has experience working with young people in education, youth work, mentoring, pastoral care, or similar settings
✔ Is confident managing challenging behaviour through positive and restorative approaches
✔ Demonstrates excellent communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills
✔ Has a genuine commitment to inclusion, student wellbeing, and raising aspirations
✔ Can remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in challenging situations
✔ Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team while also using their own initiative
