Sixth Form Pastoral Support Officer

An ambitious secondary school in Hammersmith and Fulham is seeking a dedicated Sixth Form Pastoral Support Officer to join their Sixth Form team from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term role where you will play a key part in supporting student achievement, wellbeing, and future aspirations.
You will act as a central point of contact for students, parents/carers, and external agencies, helping to create a culture of high expectations, strong communication, and student success.
The Role
As part of the Sixth Form team, you will:
Support the Head of Sixth Form and Senior Leadership Team in managing the Sixth Form cohort.
Act as the first point of contact for students, parents/carers, and external agencies.
Monitor and update student data relating to behaviour, attendance, punctuality, and safeguarding.
Analyse attendance and behaviour data to identify trends and implement targeted interventions.
Support re-engagement sessions and attendance follow-up where required.
Liaise with tutors, staff, parents, and external agencies to support student wellbeing and progress.
Organise meetings, reports, references, and communication with families.
Support Sixth Form events, assemblies, enrichment activities, and study programmes.
Supervise students during independent study and at key points throughout the school day.
Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance, engagement, and presentation across the Sixth Form.
