KS1 Teacher - SEN Schools & Alternative Provisions | Tradewind Recruitment

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated KS1 Teacher to work within a range of outstanding SEN schools and Alternative Provision settings. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to teach pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Complex Needs. You will be responsible for delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that inspire confidence, encourage independence, and support every child in achieving their individual learning goals.

Working closely with experienced teaching assistants, therapists, and wider multidisciplinary teams, you will help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment where pupils feel valued and supported. Building positive relationships with students and their families will be key to promoting both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Have experience teaching within KS1, SEN, or Alternative Provision settings, although strong mainstream teachers with a passion for SEN are encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and a patient, flexible approach.
• Be committed to inclusive education and adapting learning to meet individual needs.
• Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
