KS2 Teacher - SEN Schools & Alternative Provisions | Tradewind Recruitment

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting an enthusiastic and resilient KS2 Teacher to join our network of exceptional SEN schools and Alternative Provision settings. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or someone looking to transition into specialist education, where every day presents the chance to transform the lives of children who require additional support.

As a KS2 Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech and Language Needs, and other complex learning profiles. You will foster an inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel safe, respected, and motivated to achieve their full potential.

Success in this role requires creativity, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting children who may have experienced barriers to learning. You will use a range of teaching strategies, sensory approaches, and positive behaviour support techniques to encourage engagement and build confidence. Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and pastoral teams, you will contribute to personalised education plans that promote academic achievement, emotional resilience, and personal development.

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Have experience teaching KS2 pupils, with SEN or Alternative Provision experience being highly desirable.
• Be confident in adapting the curriculum to suit a wide range of abilities and learning styles.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and relationship-building skills.
• Be committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and delivering high-quality education for every learner.
